Round 4 was a huge round of Big Bash action which saw BBL centuries from Travis Head and Luke Wright as well as strong bowling performances from Shaun Tait, John Hastings, Clint McKay and the entire Scorchers bowling lineup.
In the SCHQ Gayle League, Kyle’s “souldoubt” top-scored with an impressive 880 points which was delivered in bulk from his batting lineup. Declan also had a big week scoring 869 points and Matt also fared well breaking the 800-point barrier.
The table as it sits after 4 rounds is now closer than ever with three teams on 4 points and another three close behind on 2 points. Round 5 of the head-to-head matchups will see myself take on Kyle in a battle for first place with all other matchups occurring between teams within 2 points of each other.
There are only 3 games this round with the Sixers and Stars having the bye which means it will be a lower-scoring round with many teams opting to set up for the Stars double-game round next week and the Hurricanes’ the following round.
I hope everyone has had a fantastic New Year’s break and has a prosperous round of BBL Fantasy!
Should I get Matthew Wade, Tim Ludeman or Ben Dunk in for Haddin?

Yeah I’d go for Dunk due to the Hurricanes DGW coming up. Especially since he is only around $45k at the moment as well which is a bargain for someone like him.

Tom Beaton or Joel Paris on field? I know they’re not in the same position but i can use the all rounders to adjust the bench. Beaton will bat at number 6 against the Hurricanes bowling attack while Paris might get smashed by the strikers batting lineup. Not sure who to pick….

I still think Paris is the better option here. Beaton is a great young gun but just isn’t feasible for fantasy batting that low.

I’m looking at Klinger or maybe Lynn

I’m thinking possibly Finch. He has enjoyed bowling himself lately so is a chance to pick up a handy wicket along with his batting.

Kallis? Opens the batting and is guaranteed at least two or three overs at a great economy.
