Welcome to my irregular but highly informative (trust me) BBL fantasy round preview for round three.
Round two was a tough one to negotiate, with no double round players, and only three players scoring over 100 points; Tim Paine, Moises Henriques and Dan Christian.
I hadn’t even considered Christian as a fantasy option after some poor Big Bashes, and an still apprehensive towards picking him. He took four catches against the Heat, which certainly helped his score.
ROUND THREE LOW-DOWN
Double Round: Heat
Bye: Renegades
Unfortunately, no Chris Gayle, Aaron Finch or Nathan Rimmington (my hero last round with four wickets and 92 points) this round, but it’s recommend you bench these guys, not trade them.
The Renegades, along with the Scorchers and the Sixers have a double round in round four, so it’s worth holding on to them.
The Heat players I am considering for their double round are Chris Lynn, Jason Floros and Ben Cutting.
Lynn had a poor round two but is a very talented and hard-hitting batsmen would normally bats best at the Gabba. Jason Floros has done enough this season to merit a spot in the best XI and as a floating batsman he will bat anywhere depending on the situation, while his off-spinners have proved handy at least.
We all know what Ben Cutting is capable of; if he sneaks a couple of wickets each game that will compliment his big hitting nicely.
The Heat do have the bye immediately following round three so don’t go ahead and bring in their whole squad. Nathan Reardon, Samuel Badree and Lendl Simmons are also good options, but I wouldn’t go near any of their other bowlers.
Jason Behrendorff is back for the Scorchers, while Kevin Pietersen will miss for the Stars.
Remember, three trades again this round, use them or lose them. Personally I think I’ll use two this week, because I don’t want to force a trade that I don’t necessary think will improve my side.
Good luck and remember to ask any questions below!
My plan for the next two rounds:
Round 3
Finch > Lynn
Bravo > Simmons (via Stoinis DPP)
Round 4
Cutting > Willey
Lynn > Finch
Simmons > Bravo
Double match players for Round 4:
Renegades: Finch, Bravo
Sixers: Haddin, Maddinson, Abbott
Scorchers: Klinger, Willey, Paris
Thoughts?

Nice Pinidu. I’d normally advise against trading in and trading out of the same players but BBL Fantasy is a different game. I assume it leaves you with Cutting, Lynn & Simmons from the Heat? Go for it.

plan for the next two weeks:
Round 3: S. Marsh, Richardson, Bird to Klinger, Kallis, Maxwell.
Round 4: O’Keefe (on bench) D. Hussey (on bench), Lynn to two 20K players and Bravo.
This week going with Lynn as captain. Thoughts? Should I change anything?

I think I’ll go Lynn as well Oscar. Not going to bring any Heat players in this week?

Gayle > Lumb
Dunk > Haddin
C.Simmons > Maxwell
getting in Lumb and Haddin means so far having 7 players for DGW next week with only having to trade 2, and getting maxwell is because he is moving to number 3 most likely… I already have Lynn, Badree, Cutting and L.Simmons

Looks good Jesse – don’t squeeze any more Heat in there, four’s enough

I can’t decide who to play. Do I play Willey not opening or Stoinis?
