Schon’s Skippers – R22

Grand Final Week!
I sincerely hope you’ve made it, unless you share a league with me and have already knocked me out! 😠

It’s an exciting weekend for the SCHQ leagues too, because we’ll get champions from each of our leagues and promotion and relegation emails will be sent shortly.

Joel Selwood
Selwood struggled against the Saints last week which is concerning for his owners running into the biggest game of the year. In many cases, his performance would’ve been the difference. Averages 108 against Collingwood including a 104 in Round 6.
Scott Pendlebury
Admittedly, Pendles has been down on form but his career record versus Geelong makes for impressive reading. He averages 115 against the Catters with a high of 147. Got 102 against them earlier in the year.

Todd Goldstein
While Goldstein was probably beaten head to head by Sandilands on the weekend, two late goals meant he still scored a respectable 116. Incredibly, that’s his lowest score in 12 weeks or 3 months! Wow. The Doggies’ Tom Campbell won’t scare him this week either.
Brett Deledio
As I’ve harped on about all throughout the back half of the season, good midfielders have filled their boots against the Bombers. Brett Deledio was no exception in Round 9 when they played, knocking up 134. ‘Lids’ is crucial to the Tigers and he’s a supremely safe option as VC or C.
Sam Mitchell
The Hawks will be without Luke Hodge but that means the former skipper Mitchell can stand up in his absence. Averages 112 against the Lions over his career and in Tassie it could be a mauling.

EDIT: Nat Fyfe ruled out for Round 22
Patrick Dangerfield
After an incredibly emotional week preceding Adelaide’s last clash with West Coast, Danger smashed out 156 points in Perth. Now he has the WEagles at home and will test out to see if his fine form can continue. Is taking home Charlie really so farfetched?
Matt Priddis
Maybe you need to go a little bit unique for your GF captain? Consider Priddis who averages 124 in his last three against the Crows and was back to his influential best last weekend. 128 against the Crows earlier in the year.

Top three captaincy choices:
3. Matt Priddis
2. Brett Deledio
1. Todd Goldstein

Who are you making skipper on this huge week? Let me know below.

  1. VC going on Rocky and C on Priddis. tippind most of my opponents will go goldy and danger so i want to take diff options hopefully will give me an advantage and the win

  2. Josh, if I can afford any defender and any midfielder in the competition right now…who should I get?
In defence I already have: Shaw, Simmo, Burph, Newnes + Hibbo
In midfield I already have: Danger, Pendles, Priddis, JPK, Rocky, Selwood + Lewis
Money is not an issue. The two being traded are Hodge and Fyfe.
